Core Features of SANYO DENKI 9GT Cooling Fans
Equipment today tends to generate more heat and operate in environments where the ambient temperature can drop to -40°C or rise to +85°C. SANYO DENKI developed a line of endurance fans that can perform under these high- and low-temperature conditions while providing cooling for the application.
1. Wide Temperature Range
The 9GT series was purposely designed to handle temperature ranges outside standard products. Standard temperature ranges are typically -20°C to +70°C, while the 9GT series can operate from -40°C to +85°C.
This does not only apply to operating temperature. The same range also applies to storage temperature.
The fan’s aluminum frame acts as a heat sink to pull heat away from the dual ball bearings. The electrical components were also selected for a wider temperature range to account for extreme hot and cold temperatures.
2. Extended thermal Capability with No Compromise in Service Life
Both standard fans and 9GT fans are rated for 40,000 hours, but the rated temperature is different.
• 9GT Series service life: 40,000 hours at +85°C
• Standard fan service life: 40,000 hours at +60°C
At the same operating temperature, the 9GT fan can provide longer service life than a standard fan.
The wider temperature range allows the 9GT series to help reduce customer maintenance requirements and minimize downtime.
SANYO DENKI uses high-quality dual ball bearings and grease to help increase service life at wider temperatures.
3. Greater Design Flexibility
The wide operating temperature range allows engineers to deploy equipment in locations exposed to extreme heat or cold without compromising cooling performance.
